RIVIERA NAYARIT
RIVIERA NAYARIT
An impressive natural treasure is waiting for you

Embraced by the Pacific Ocean and the Sierra Madre Occidental, it dazzles a precious treasure: the Riviera Nayarit, the new and fabulous vacation paradise of Mexico!

A tropical paradise with a coastline of more than 307 kilometers and whose southern border is located 10 minutes north of the Puerto Vallarta International Airport, its northern border is 40 minutes west of the Tepic International Airport.

Riviera Nayarit offers intense blue skies, emerald mountains, abundant vegetation and endless beautiful golden beaches for an unforgettable vacation.

The prevailing climate in Riviera la Nayarti is warm subhumid, with an average annual temperature of 25 ° C. 90 percent of the days of the year are sheltered by the sun’s rays, which allows an ideal environment for the growth of exuberant species of flora that colors the landscape with beautiful tones.

On each beach, in each small town, the abundant vegetation, the rare animal species and the beauty of nature will pleasantly surprise you.

The Riviera Nayarit coast extends through the municipalities of Bahía de Banderas, Compostela, San Blas, Santiago and Tecuala

Culture of poetry, colors and traditions

The customs and history of the Rivera Nayarit will enrich your visit, you will have the opportunity to learn about the culture and traditions of the region.

Enjoy the museums, archaeological sites and approach the work of writers, sculptors and craftsmen who have represented the spirit of these lands. And to round off its cultural and historical approach to this state, be sure to visit the archaeological sites such as Altavista, located in the municipality of Compostela, and Los Toriles, in Ixtlán del Río.

Nayarit is a pluricultural, multiethnic and multilingual state, it will be able to approach the ways of life of the indigenous peoples that give so much identity to the state. Its four indigenous peoples: Huicholes, Coras, Tepehuanos and Mexicaneros, still exist and visitors can make excursions to their communities to learn about their ceremonies, lifestyles and artistic creations.

The best-known ethnic group are the Huichol, distinguished by their colorful clothing, embroidered blanket garments, hats crowned with feathers, as well as bracelets, rings and necklaces of glass beads in which they also express their vision of the cosmos

Do not miss the opportunity to enjoy the traditions of these indigenous groups, as well as their original and colorful crafts: hummingbirds of stature that fly between intense yellow skies, of incredible violets; felines that take shape in shiny glass beads. Their works of art and crafts are priceless treasures that you can take home as a memento of your visit.
